The HISTORY of Free Little Art Gallery
Stacy Milrany, a Washington based artist, opened her FREE LITTLE ART
GALLERY in 2020 during COVID. She is generally credited with beginning the
popularization of FLAG’s which are now found worldwide!
In a Smithsonian Magazine article about Little Art Galleries, Stacy observes,
” It’s physically and psychologically accessible. The art world can get elitist,
superficial alienating, otherwise inaccessible to some people. This is the opposite in every way.”
