Spring 2026 Schedule

April 4 - Front Street Jazz Ensemble

The Front Street Jazz Ensemble plays hip music for dancing and listening. The band features Topper Roth (guitar), Jim Corbett (saxophone/flute),Steve Reuman (keyboards), James Madru (electric bass), Colin Cunningham (drums and percussion), and Maureen Osborne (vocals).

April 11 - Tim Sweeney

Tim is well-known locally for being the ukulele guy and performing for years at so many local events and venues. In true Pop-Up Practice tradition, he will be sharing his continued passion for the baritone ukulele with a brand new repertoire of songs.

April 18 - Paul Kehoe

Paul Kehoe was a second grade teacher for the Brewster Public Schools, and now performs with puppeteer Mary Wilson as Puppets, Paul & Mary. This summer will be their 6th season at Cape Rep Theater. They also perform at libraries all over the Cape and South Shore. Paul also presents musical programs for the Alzheimer’s Support Group of Cape Cod. He will be presenting music for kids and the whole family.

April 25 - Jim Nosler

Jim Nosler is a singer songwriter from Austin Texas now living on the Cape full-time. His style can be characterized as southern roots, coastal vibes and sing-alongs. He will be sharing his own songs, and songs Influenced by his years in Texas; sharing stories along the way. Jim is also active on WOMR radio with his music program, "Southern Routes,”, and his podcast, “Outer Waves with Mottley James”

May 2 - Syd Straw

Singer/songwriter and guitarist Syd Straw first made a name for herself as part of the Golden Palaminos, a band led by Anton Fier that enjoyed a large cult following in the ‘80s. Her unique blend of folk-rock and blues rock has made her a favorite on adult, alternative radio stations. On her album, “Surprise,” she was joined by Don Was, Michael Stipe, Ry Cooder, Marshall Crenshaw, Richard Thompson, John Doe, and Daniel Lanois. We are thrilled to welcome her to the Pop-Ups!

May 9 - Sarah Burrill

Sarah brings to her music and performance a depth and passion that is nothing short of contagious. Here she will be trying out new material, both originals and covers.

May 16 - The Bitter and Broken Men’s Chorus

The Bitter and Broken Men's Chorus: Tom Fettig, Andrew Fettig, Frank Poranski, Kami Lyle, Dinah Mellin, Ken Field, and Benny Albro. They describe themselves as, “a group of unapologetic Cape Cod blue collar shmoes. Their music reflects their love of community, punk rock, wry humor, Americana, and lefty politics.”

May 23 - Kami Lyle and Friends

World class songwriting, world class fun! Come hang with bestie singer / songwriters / musicians / miniature golfing pals Kami Lyle, Joey Spampinato (NRBQ), Barbara Blaisdell and Tim Utt (Sensible Shoes), and Jerome Deupree (Morphine) for an hour of songs, stories, and free advice about your swing.

May 30 - Chandler Travis

The Chandler Travis Philharmonette is a smaller satellite version of the Chandler Travis Philharmonic, and includes Chandler on guitars, string bassist John Clark, saxophonist, keyboardist, and clarinetist Berke McKelvey, Fred Boak, and in this case percussionist Rikki Bates. They play an extremely diverse assortment of original acoustic rock, jazz, etc. and the scaling down seems to engage people in a disarming and surprisingly unassuming way. June 6 - Les Sampou

Americana musician and award-winning songwriter Les Sampou has toured the US and internationally for decades. She has produced seven albums for Rounder Records and on her own label “MoNando Music." Her newest release (2024) “I LIKE YOUR VIBE” is a collection of 20 collaborative songs with writers from around the world written before and during the pandemic, many of which are featured in film and TV.

June 13 - Stephen Russell

Stephen is a singer/songwriter/guitarist with influences ranging from traditional folk to standards to ‘60’s pop.

June 20 - Pavia

Pavia’s live performances capture the authenticity and excitement of bygone styles and eras, including 1930’s Paris and Berlin, the American torch genre, Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya. Her repertoire is decidedly eclectic, and includes torch songs, love songs, classic oldies from the American repertoire, and European classics as well.

June 27 - Michael Holt and Friends

Michael Holt (michaelholtmusic.com) is a Truro-based singer and composer in many styles. He'll be joined by members of his band Woof Woof Meow (woofwoofmeow.org), playing a bit of everything from classical pieces to wacky, original dance music. He looks forward to re-connecting with his Orleans friends through lyrics, rhythms, and notes!
